Legal Officer; Qualified Solicitor

Position: Legal Officer (Qualified Solicitor)
VANRATH is currently recruiting for a Legal Officer to join a respected public sector organisation in Belfast City Centre on an initial interim contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional or experienced legal candidate to join a busy team, providing legal advice and support across the organisation while contributing to casework, legal research and policy development.

About you Applicants must hold a current practice certificate issued by the Law Society of Northern Ireland, enabling them to undertake the duties of a Solicitor in Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar legal role, with demonstrable experience of legal case management, legal research and providing legal advice and support. Experience in discrimination law or employment law would be highly desirable. You should have experience in:
Legal case management and maintaining case files Providing legal advice and support Legal research and analysis Drafting legal documentation Supporting policy development Liaising with internal and external stakeholders Working independently and as part of a team Managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines What you'll do Provide legal advice and support across various departments Prepare and manage legal case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant legal matters Draft legal documents, correspondence and supporting materials Support the development and review of organisational policies Liaise with stakeholders in relation to legal processes and decision-making Ensure legal documentation and casework is maintained to a high standard Support colleagues across the organisation with legal queries and requirements Ensure work is completed in line with relevant legal standards and organisational policies Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role For further information on this opportunity, or any other position in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link or contact Conor Birch in the strictest confidence.
