NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE IN BELFAST FOR A SUPPLY OFFICER
- Full time on-site in Belfast
- 35 hour week, with premium overtime rates for any overtime
- BPSS clearance required prior to starting
The role of the Supply Chain Coordinator involves managing a portfolio of suppliers acting as the main on-site liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless material flow, performance management, and supplier recovery where needed. This role plays a vital part in improving operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and shaping the future of the supply chain through digitalisation and transformation initiatives.
WHATYOU’LL BE DOING
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers daily using existing and emerging digital tools.
- Anticipating risks, managing demand and forecasts, and driving proactive mitigation actions.
- Leading and driving supplier recoveries, ensuring on‑time and in‑full delivery performance.
- Challenging supplier performance and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Acting as the first point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
- Coordinating supplier working parties and managing order books, including maintaining MRP Master Data.
- Using data management tools to analyse performance and make informed decisions.
- Optimising stock levels and ordering strategies for procured goods.
- Partnering with Supply Chain Quality Managers and Commercial Buyers to deliver an integrated procurement approach.
- Contributing to supply chain transformation projects, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Solid experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong understanding of MRP and SAP within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proven supplier‑facing experience, including performance management and recovery activities.
- Experience with digital tools and automation within a supply chain context.
- A good understanding of LEAN and project management principles.
