Warehouse and Food Support Assistant

Overview

THE EMPLOYER IS: FOODSTOCKEntry-level warehouse role supporting community food operations, including breakfast clubs and food distribution. Supported Job Start placement with structured training in safe handling, stock processes and programme support.

• Receive, sort and organise food donations.
• Pack food for community distribution/breakfast clubs.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock rotation.
• Prepare items/materials for breakfast club delivery.
• Follow food hygiene, H&S and safeguarding procedures.
• Basic stock records; supervised team working.
• Participate in mentoring and training reviews.

• Stock handling and organisational skills.
• Manual handling and safe working practices skills.
• Food hygiene and safety awareness.
• Basic record keeping skills.
• Teamwork in a supervised environment.
• Previous warehouse/food handling exposure.
• Basic numeracy for stock counts.

Hours:

up to 25 hours per week.
