Job SummaryAirbus Belfast Limited is looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Structural Standard Parts Procurement department.
Responsibilities- Lead and execute procurement activities for A220 structural standard parts, from requirement definition to contract execution and supplier management.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for assigned commodity, identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, supplier evaluations, and selection processes to ensure the best value for Airbus.
- Negotiate complex contracts with suppliers, focusing on pricing, terms, delivery schedules, quality standards, and long‑term relationships.
- Collaborate effectively with multi‑functional teams (MFTs) including engineering, production, quality, and legal departments to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and project goals.
- Prepare and present compelling business cases for procurement initiatives, demonstrating financial viability and strategic benefits.
- Actively engage in supplier performance management, addressing any issues and fostering strong collaborative partnerships.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools within Airbus Belfast Limited.
- Proven experience as a buyer within a complex manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in strategic procurement, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and effectively influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and coordination abilities, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Experience working within or collaborating closely with a multi‑functional team environment.
- Ability to develop and present robust business cases.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement software and ERP / MRP systems.
- Minimum of an HNC in a business‑related subject or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPIM, CIPS) and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. A relevant degree is preferred.
- Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance or subject to BPSS and export control checks.

- 36‑hour week, flexible working around core hours and Friday afternoons off.
