About the roleAssist the Logistics Team Leader with day‑to‑day logistics operations, including preparing daily documentation for despatches, planning at Works Order, Sales Order and Purchase Order levels, and training on specific logistics responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Extract and manipulate data from our systems to provide up‑to‑date information on Sales Order dispatches.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and couriers to prepare import declaration documents and track BOL, commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.
- Prepare customs declaration instructions for freight forwarders and their agents.
- Follow up on customs entries and verify compliance with HMRC import/export regulations.
- Create and update Shipping and On Time in Full (OTIF) reports.
- Coordinate with external transport companies to ensure accurate delivery times and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Update procedures and create training documents for shipping.
- Assist with day‑to‑day shipping and logistics activities.
- Participate in monthly cycle counting of finished goods.
- 5 GCSEs grades C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Two years’ experience in a specialised administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system.
- Import experience.
- It is highly desirable to have two years’ experience in logistics.
Fixed‑term contract for 12 months (possibility of extension), based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite.
