Continuous Improvement Manager (Food Procurement)
up to £75,000 plus bonus & benefits
Our ClientOur client is one of the UK's leading food brands, operating a complex food supply chain that serves millions of customers every week. With innovation and continuous improvement at the heart of their business, they are investing in their sourcing function to drive efficiencies across their end-to-end food supply chain. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team and play a key role in delivering strategic change across one of the UK's largest food operations.
The RoleWorking within the global procurement function, this role will focus on identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities across the end-to-end food supply chain. You'll work closely with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to analyse manufacturing processes, cost models and operational performance, helping to unlock efficiencies from raw materials through to distribution.
This is a highly collaborative role, offering the opportunity to visit supplier manufacturing sites, influence senior stakeholders and deliver projects that create meaningful commercial and operational improvements across the business.
Responsibilities include- Leading continuous improvement projects across the end-to-end food supply chain
- Working closely with suppliers to identify manufacturing, logistics and operational efficiencies
- Analysing supplier cost models, financial performance and key cost drivers to identify value opportunities
- Supporting sourcing and buying teams with industry insights and commercial recommendations
- Managing cross-functional projects, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier partners
- Driving best practice, governance and continuous improvement across the sourcing function
- Previous experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Business Improvement within the food industry
- Experience working within a manufacturing or food production environment, ideally within a lean or world-class manufacturing setting
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret cost models and financial data
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience delivering cross-functional projects and leading business change initiatives
- Comfortable visiting manufacturing sites and working closely with supplier partners
- A passion for continuous improvement and delivering measurable business results
