Role Overview Vickerstock are recruiting a Supply Chain Manager for an engineering/manufacturing business in County Tyrone. This is a full-time permanent position. With a strong emphasis on procurement, the Supply Chain Manager position will suit a commercially minded purchasing professional who enjoys developing people, building supplier relationships and improving purchasing performance. The Supply Chain Manager will lead a team of buyers and oversee procurement activity, working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure purchasing supports production requirements with a focus on improving strategic performance.

Supply Chain Manager Duties Leading and developing a team of buyers, setting priorities and supporting their performance. Managing key supplier relationships and negotiating prices, commercial terms and supply arrangements. Identifying cost savings and opportunities to strengthen the supplier base, improving supplier delivery, quality and responsiveness. Partner with operations, finance, legal, and regional business units to align procurement initiatives with business goals.

Aligning purchasing activity with production needs and resolving material shortages. Improving supplier delivery, quality and responsiveness. Supporting improvements in inventory, purchasing information and processes. Supply Chain Manager Criteria:
Recent senior procurement and/or supply chain experience within manufacturing or engineering business. Experience in a team management/supervisory role with a passion for developing individuals. Strong commercial skills, with experience negotiating supplier agreements, managing contracts and developing supplier relationships. Confident using ERP systems, digital sourcing tools and procurement data to inform purchasing decisions. A proven ability to deliver cost savings and improve overall purchasing value within a complex manufacturing or engineering environment.
