Competitive DOE The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Planner to join a growing supply chain team based in Cardiff. This role will play a key part in ensuring stock availability, supplier performance, inventory control and continuous improvement across purchasing and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, product teams and logistics providers to maintain efficient supply processes while supporting business growth through effective planning and procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities Review and manage the open order book on a daily basis. Liaise with suppliers to obtain order acknowledgements, proof of delivery (PODs), lead times and pricing information. Raise and manage domestic and international purchase orders. Coordinate shipment schedules with international suppliers and logistics providers. Monitor stock profiles and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate stock levels and product portfolio management.

Maintain inventory control procedures and ensure system accuracy. Manage aged stock and slow-moving inventory, including quarterly stock rotation activities. Source, evaluate and develop relationships with freight forwarders and other service providers. Continuously seek opportunities to improve supplier pricing, terms and overall commercial performance. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Review supplier rebates and contribute towards achieving departmental targets. Conduct supplier database maintenance and vendor clean-up activities.

Complete mass data uploads, including monthly price list updates. Gather, validate and maintain supplier and product information to ensure database integrity.
