Our client, a 4 Star Hotel in Belfast city centre is seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to maintain the overall condition and functionality of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, rooms, and public areas. Troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, lighting, and appliances. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, hallways, and hotel facilities. Repair or replace damaged fixtures, furniture, doors, locks, and flooring. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
Keep maintenance records and report major repair needs to management. Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required. Assist with preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and repair costs. Support hotel operations during renovations or special projects.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and painting. Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays if required. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks.
Maintenance certifications are a plus. Preferred
