General Maintenance

The General Maintenance Assistant is a vital role, this role requires you to work as part of our support team to help ensure that the highest standard of maintenance is achieved throughout the home. You will be required to carry out your duties in an efficient and timely manner.

Being a team player and attention to detail is essential to this role. You will be provided with full training within the home.

The hours for this position is Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Responsibilities:

• To carry out day to day maintenance of the building, its services and grounds in order to ensure that the home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order, i.e. plumbing and joinery
• Responsibility for all maintenance, fire and health and safety checks as advised by the Home Manager.
• Maintain a “Maintenance Book” in which defects are recorded by Staff Members. Use this book to effect repairs/replacements daily.
• Maintain decoration of the home as and when required ensuring home is kept to presentable standards
• Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another.

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
