Cleaner/Labourer - Belfast City Centre (Immediate Start)

13.47 per hour (weekly pay)

37 hours per week Temporary - 12 weeks+ potential for ongoing contract

About the Role

Hatched Recruitment Group is currently recruiting a Cleaner/Labourer for an immediate, temporary cleaning and portering role in Belfast city centre. This is a great opportunity for an experienced cleaner, labourer, or general operative to join a busy Facilities Management team, carrying out general cleaning, portering, and event support duties across multiple sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out general cleaning duties, including buffing, polishing, vacuuming and deep cleaning, using cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Working as part of a cleaning and portering team to set up and dismantle tables, chairs, mobile staging and equipment for functions and events.
• Providing a portering service, including waste collection and disposal, and delivery of mail and items between buildings.
• Supporting ceremonial and corporate functions, including bar duties and hospitality set-up.
• Restocking cleaning supplies and consumables (towels, toilet rolls, soap dispensers, etc.).
• Receiving and distributing daily deliveries.
• Assisting with office moves, furniture relocation, and general labouring tasks.
• Occasionally cleaning and securing public toilets and facilities.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year's experience as a cleaner, labourer, cleaning operative, or in portering/facilities support, in two or more of: deep cleaning duties (including safe use of cleaning machinery and chemicals), event/function set-up, or portering across multiple sites.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic health & safety awareness.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to work.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
