MAINTENANCE MANAGER Are you a highly skilled and experienced professional in the field of maintenance? Our hotel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Maintenance Manager. THE OPPORTUNITY Working with us as a Maintenance Manager will give you the opportunity to manage, motivate and inspire a small professional team to deliver excellent service that we are renowned for.

Daily, you will showcase your skills and knowledge by:
Oversee the overall maintenance and repair operations of the hotel, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal functioning of all systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. Coordinate and supervise a small team, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure efficient and effective execution of duties.

Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas to identify maintenance needs, and promptly address any issues to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and standards. Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and work closely with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and timely delivery of equipment and materials. Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritise tasks, and minimise guest disruption.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes related to safety, health, and environmental standards, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory, utilizing computerized maintenance management systems. Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in maintenance management, and implement relevant improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel maintenance, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, techniques, and best practices, including experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Exceptional organisational and time management skills, capable of prioritising multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and guests. Proficient computer skills, including experience with Opera or other maintenance management software. Qualifications or technical training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
