Belfast £14.05 - £14.40 per hour Permanent Position Reed Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Maintenance Person on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with maintenance, building, decorating, or facilities experience to join a well-established organisation in a permanent role.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the building and surrounding facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, helping to provide a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities Complete maintenance tasks identified through planned maintenance schedules and inspection reports. Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Respond to emergency maintenance issues as they arise. Coordinate external contractors when specialist repairs are required. Undertake decorating and refurbishment work when needed. Ensure essential services such as gas, electricity, and water remain operational. Conduct regular health and safety inspections of buildings and grounds.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition. Complete maintenance records and reporting requirements accurately. Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures. Participate in training and professional development activities as required. Requirements Essential Previous experience in a maintenance, building, decorating, caretaking, or facilities role. Good understanding of health and safety practices within residential or commercial buildings.

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively. Strong communication skills. Basic IT skills, including email use and record keeping. Reliable, proactive, and able to respond effectively to maintenance issues. Desirable Qualification in a building, decorating, maintenance, or trade-related discipline. Health & Safety certification. Experience working within residential accommodation, housing, or support services environments. Benefits Permanent, secure employment.
