✅ A full, current driving licence - this is essential

✅ Access to a car - this is essential

✅ At least 1 year's experience dealing with the public face-to-face

✅ At least 1 year's experience in a security or patrol role (e.g. patrols, locking up, setting alarms, recording incidents etc))

✅ At least 1 year's experience in an enforcement role (e.g. dog control, litter or alcohol enforcement)

✅ Availability to work 3pm to 11pm, Wednesday to Sunday

£15.82 per hour (PAYE)

37 hours per week, 3pm to 11pm, Wednesday to Sunday

Hatched Recruitment Group is recruiting several Park Wardens to join Belfast City Council's Parks and Cemeteries team on a new anti-social behaviour pilot project. Roles are available across a number of Belfast parks, including Falls Park and Colin Glen Park. You'll help keep parks and open spaces safe, clean and welcoming for everyone who uses them.

What you'll be doing:

Patrolling parks, cemeteries and open spaces to identify and tackle anti-social behaviour, including drinking, littering, graffiti, fly-tipping and dog fouling
Enforcing council bye-laws, dog control orders, the litter code and alcohol bye-laws, including issuing warning notices and fixed penalties
Investigating complaints, gathering evidence and writing reports that may be used in court
Working alongside partner agencies, particularly the PSNI
Locking up and securing park buildings and properties
Carrying out inspections of playgrounds, paths, lighting and park furniture, and making areas safe
Driving council vans between sites
Welcoming park users and working with community groups, schools and volunteers

Also desirable:

Two or more years' experience in a security role and an enforcement role
Good report-writing skills

Full training in dog control and litter code enforcement will be provided if needed.
