We are currently recruiting for a Waste Management Operative to join our team based at ICC Waterfront, Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

We are currently recruiting for a Waste Management Operative to join our team based at ICC Waterfront, Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

• 20 Hours Per Week
• Monday – Sunday
• Hours can be discussed

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely
• Be knowledgeable in ‘biohazard’, or biological hazard; we work in environments that may be involve the cleaning of bodily fluids such as blood, faeces or vomit that can carry infectious diseases including hepatitis or HIV.
• Safe disposal of sharps such as needles and blades
• Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles
• Removal and disposal of large bulky waste items
• Use of power hose for specific periods

• Good time-management skills
• Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed
• Are customer focused with a good eye for detail
• Have a full driving licence and a method of transport
• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speaking and listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
