Payment Processing Team Manager

Job Title: Team Manager – Payment Processing

Salary: To 30,000 dependent on experience

Location: Hybrid Working (Westland office and home)

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday

The Role

The Payment Processing Team Manager is a key member of the Revenue and Collections department, responsible for leading and managing the Payment Processing team. This role involves overseeing daily banking and payment processing targets for Northern Ireland Water, deploying effective processing strategies, and motivating staff to achieve results in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Payment Processing team to ensure daily banking and payment processing targets are met.
  • Develop and implement effective processing strategies.
  • Motivate and develop staff to achieve high performance.
  • Manage and adhere to targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct management reporting and reconciliation.
  • Interrogate reports to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
What You’ll Need
  • Minimum 6 months experience in managing and leading a team or supervising/leading in an operational environment.
  • Experience in managing and adhering to targets and SLAs.
  • Experience in management reporting and reconciliation.
  • Experience in an office, banking, or contact centre environment.
Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of banking procedures.
Skills
  • Numerically proficient with the ability to identify errors and solve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Personal Characteristics
  • Results-oriented with significant operational processing responsibility.
  • People and team-oriented leader.
  • Strong relationship builder.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE Level (or equivalent).
  • A professional qualification is useful but not essential.
