CONTRACTS MANAGER
G.S. Stothers, a specialist provider of smoke ventilation and fire life safety systems
, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team. This is a pivotal role supporting and managing teams of service engineers while acting as a key client-facing point of contact.
The role is hybrid
, combining office-based responsibilities with regular site visits across Northern and Southern Ireland
, ensuring the effective delivery of both reactive and planned maintenance services while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of service engineers across Ireland.
- Providing technical guidance and support to engineers working in the field.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for client facilities and estates teams.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of PPM schedules and emergency call-out services in collaboration with the Facilities Management team.
- Conducting site audits, performance reviews
, and ensuring accurate service documentation and reporting. - Assisting with quoting remedial works, system upgrades, and compliance reviews
. - Working closely with the Projects and Sales teams to support client retention and business growth.
- Staying up to date with current legislation, industry standards, and best practices relating to smoke control and fire safety systems.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a technical facilities management, engineering supervision, or building services role
. - Strong knowledge of smoke ventilation, fire safety systems
, or mechanical/electrical services. - Experience managing mobile engineering teams across multiple sites
. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics
. - A qualification in Building Services or Electrical Engineering (HNC / HND or equivalent).
- Or come from a trade background.
- A full UK/ROI driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
