Branch Manager - Belfast - Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Branch Manager to join a leading supplier of tools, machinery and engineering equipment in Belfast. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy branch, leading the team across sales, customer service, stock management and administration while driving performance and ensuring a consistently high standard of service.

About the role:
  • £42,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Lead and motivate a small in‑store team, including supporting an external sales representative.
  • Coach, manage, and develop staff to ensure strong performance and continual improvement.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure excellent service is consistently delivered.
  • Take a hands‑on approach to supporting trade counter sales and resolving customer queries.
  • Oversee daily operations including sales processing, customer account management, and general administration.
  • Ensure effective stock control, ordering, and replenishment.
  • Work closely with other branches, warehouse teams, operations, and sales departments to maintain efficient workflow.
What you'll need for this role:
  • Experience working within the engineering industry.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience within a trade counter or retail environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing and controlling stock effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Hands‑on and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff development.
