Role OverviewAs a Project Manager, you will use strong leadership and effective management to deliver safe, timely, profitable and high-quality projects particularly steel-frame structures.
Working collaboratively, you will develop strong professional relationships, not just with clients and customers, but also with subcontractors, internal teams and wider stakeholders. Your ability to balance client satisfaction with business requirements will be key to your success.

What You'll DoThe following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
Operations- Oversee the development and construction of projects from conception to completion, ensuring progress and profitability are on target throughout.
- Identify and Manage risk and opportunity effectively throughout the project.
- In collaboration with Commercial and Senior Leadership Teams, lead in the selection and effective management of the supply chain, ensuring they can deliver to our expectations.
- Ensure adequate resourcing, materials and plans are available as required, to avoid delays.
- Contribute to progress reports for Senior Leadership, ensuring all information is clear and accurate.
- Make decisions in high pressure or times of crisis that have the least negative impact.
- Take responsibility for health, safety, environment, and quality matters by ensuring compliance with regulations, implementing policies and procedures across operations, promoting site safety, and driving continuous improvement.
- Manage project quality daily, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standard and in line with specifications and best practice, and record in accordance with the Quality Management Plan.
- Keep clear records of site activities throughout the project, for example, key milestones, permits, authorisations, RAMS, personnel onsite, Toolbox Talks and any issues raised/identified.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, statutory authorities, external bodies and inhouse departments.
- Represent the company at progress meetings and other forums, answering queries and receiving feedback in a professional manner.
- Be a point of contact for the client on site, meeting with or liaising with them as requested.
- With support from the commercial team, avoid potential contractual disputes, managing any disputes that do arise in an appropriate manner, achieving the best possible result.
- Provide clear leadership and direction to internal staff, subcontractors, consultants, and supply chain partners, promoting a collaborative working environment.
- Lead by example, ensuring processes are followed and technology is utilised where possible for efficiency.
- Address concerns, risks, and underperformance promptly, ensuring timely and appropriate action.

As Project Manager your main skills and experience will include:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager in construction
- Significant experience delivering steel-frame buildings/structures
- Strong understanding of commercial matters on construction projects
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Chartered Membership of CIOB or another relevant body
- CSR/CSCS certification (or equivalent)
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme certification (5-day SMSTS)
