There is currently one permanent, full-time post.

You will be responsible to the Business Coordinator through the Business Support Officer for assisting in the provision of an effective and customer focused business support service to Building Control.
You will be responsible for the allocation of the daily workload and the effective supervision of business support staff assigned to the section.
You will assist in the management of the section in accordance with the principles of performance management and the council’s corporate strategic objectives so as to ensure that the required standards of service quality are achieved and maintained.
You will be responsible for the administration and co-ordination of duties in relation to Human Resources and financial controls in accordance with the financial regulations.
You will be responsible to the Business Support Officer for the provision and supervision of an efficient and effective front line service to the public.
You will be responsible for the administration of service records in accordance with council procedures including FOI and Corporate Complaints.

- Major Events & Venues – Managing strategic assets including Waterfront and Ulster Hall, Belfast Zoo, Belfast Castle, and Malone House and supporting the development of culture, heritage and the arts.
This department plays a vital role in:

- Driving inclusive growth through business support and inward investment.
- Enhancing the city's infrastructure, housing, and transport networks.
- Showcasing Belfast as a hub for tourism, heritage, and the arts.
- Overseeing strategic grant programmes to support community and economic initiatives.
The department plays a pivotal role in ensuring Belfast is an attractive, sustainable, and inclusive place to live, work, and visit.
