About you- GCSEs or equivalent passes in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above)
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a national logistics environment with multiple weekly deliveries
- At least 1+ year's experience managing a large transport team within a fast-paced, customer-focused operation
- Valid Transport Managers CPC (National & International)
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation, tachographs, H&S, HACCP
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and data analysis
- Proficient with PC applications, especially spreadsheets and databases; familiarity with IT software such as Stratum and CSNX is a plus
- Excellent communication skills combined with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the transport team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
- Manage daily transport operations, ensuring efficient, legal, and compliant delivery processes
- Oversee health and safety standards and promote best practices across the team
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise operational effectiveness
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including payroll and KPIs
- Support strategic planning for continuous improvement of the transport function
