Transport Operations Manager

About you GCSEs or equivalent passes in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above) Minimum 3 years' experience in a national logistics environment with multiple weekly deliveries At least 1 year's experience managing a large transport team within a fast-paced, customer-focused operation Valid Transport Managers CPC (National & International) Strong knowledge of transport legislation, tachographs, H&S, HACCP Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and data analysis Proficient with PC applications, especially spreadsheets and databases;

familiarity with IT software such as Stratum and CSNX is a plus Excellent communication skills combined with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities What you'll do Lead, motivate, and develop the transport team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment Manage daily transport operations, ensuring efficient, legal, and compliant delivery processes Oversee health and safety standards and promote best practices across the team Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise operational effectiveness Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including payroll and KPIs Support strategic planning for continuous improvement of the transport function For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
