Safeguarding ManagerLocation:

Salary:
Band 3 (£29,785 - £36,771) per annum, dependent on experience.
Hours:
35 hours per week (requires evenings and weekends).
Contract:
Full time - Permanent.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safeguarding Manager, or an individual with strong safeguarding experience and expertise, to play a vital role in ensuring that children and vulnerable adults feel safe and thrive in the game.
About the roleAs Safeguarding Manager you will lead and coordinate all safeguarding activity across Berks & Bucks FA. Working closely with clubs, leagues, volunteers and national FA colleagues, you will ensure safeguarding standards are upheld, concerns are managed effectively, and best practice is embedded at every level of grassroots football.
Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of safeguarding across the County FA, ensuring compliance with FA policies, legislation and the Safeguarding 365 framework
- Manage and respond to safeguarding and child protection concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Provide expert advice, guidance and training to clubs, leagues, and welfare officers
- Build strong relationships with key partners including statutory agencies, the FA and local stakeholders
- Carry out club visits, audits and monitoring to promote safe, positive football environments
- Champion a proactive approach to safeguarding through education, awareness and continuous improvement
- Experience or qualifications in safeguarding, welfare or child protection
- Experience of safeguarding within a sporting or community setting (ideal)
- Understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice for children and adults at risk
- Ability to manage challenging situations, conflict and sensitive information professionally
- Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
