Job Title
Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

Job Purpose- Lead and coordinate the activities of the EnAble programme, ensuring achievement of overall objectives within time and budget.
- Manage the PMO team and deliver multiple work streams to support core EA business areas.
- Identify, mitigate and report programme risks and issues, liaising with stakeholders and the Programme Board.
- Communicate the vision of the EnAble Programme across teams and work streams.
- Provide regular status reports to the Programme Board and drive teams to meet agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
- Ensure Programme Plans and deliverables align with EA and Department of Education strategies.
- Prepare progress reports and RAID logs aligned to the EnAble Programme.
- Establish documentation for PMO and workstream teams.
- Coordinate procurement pipeline and use of external substitutes.
- Oversee implementation of work streams within defined timescales and budgets.
- Conduct programme reviews, status meetings and communicate with senior audiences.
- Define resource requirements, plan detailed activities and allocate work packages.
- Manage contractors and partner relationships, ensuring performance against contracts.
- Identify and manage risks, and ensure timely escalation.
- Hold a bachelor's degree (Level
6) in Business Management, Information Systems, or related discipline. - At least 3 years of demonstrable experience leading or managing a PMO, programme office or equivalent governance function within a complex programme/project environment; or at least 5 years of such experience.
- Experience preparing and quality‑assuring programme reports, dashboards, briefing papers or governance documents for senior management or programme boards.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders, workstream leads, delivery teams, suppliers or partners to support delivery.
- Experience supporting programme governance, resource planning, financial monitoring, procurement activity or supplier performance monitoring.
- Access to suitable vehicle or alternative transportation for mobility requirements of the post.
- Demonstrable experience leading or coordinating a PMO or programme/project support team.
- Experience in programme reporting and governance for senior audiences.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and manage supplier performance.
- Strong judgment, communication, planning and influencing skills as described above.
- Resilience, accountability and collaborative approach under pressure.
- Experience with in an ERP, corporate systems, digital transformation or business change programme.
- Professional qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, AgilePM, P3O or equivalent.
