We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team and play a key role in delivering some of the most complex and high‑profile projects across our AMP programme.
Everything you need to knowAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of complex capital projects from concept through to completion.
You will work closely with internal teams, framework partners, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing large‑scale capital projects from design through to delivery and handover.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed business objectives, programme timelines, budgets and regulatory requirements.
- Leading project governance, risk management, forecasting and reporting activities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing NEC contracts and commercial performance across project delivery.
- Driving a culture of health, safety and wellbeing throughout all project activities.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of project management colleagues across the wider team.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement that deliver value for our customers and business.
You should be an experienced project professional with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale engineering, infrastructure, utilities or construction projects.
Ideal candidates:
- Have significant experience managing complex capital projects and programmes.
- Have strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contract management.
- Have experience managing project budgets, forecasting and financial controls.
- Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Have strong planning, organisation, negotiation and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Have experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Hold a degree qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline (desirable).
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
