Warehouse Shift Manager

Overview

We’re seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation to help achieve operational standards and meet the agreed service level agreements.

• Demonstrate an active leadership style, taking full responsibility for driving an engagement culture in your area of responsibility.
• Deal with HR processes in a timely manner, following the correct process and leveraging appropriate support when required.
• Understand the root causes of performance results and set actions with your direct reports and Operations Manager for improving the results.
• Act as the first point of contact for the customer relating to site operation matters and build a good relationship to develop trust and ensure strong engagement.
• Ensure the appropriate communication, understanding and compliance with all relevant DHL policies takes place.
• Understand health and safety related risks in your area, and take actions to eliminate or minimise these risks according to an agreed plan.

• Coaching and active listening skills.
• Ability to drive standards within the direct team.
• Ability to manage change processes.
• Minimum 4 years of warehouse management experience.
• Operations experience managing a team.
• Customer facing experience is an advantage.
