Are you an experienced Interim Home Manager with a proven track record of turning services around and leading homes through challenging periods?

We are seeking a hands-on, resilient and highly capable Interim Home Manager to support a residential care home that requires an experienced troubleshooter to drive immediate improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong operational leader who thrives on identifying issues, implementing effective action plans and restoring confidence across a service.

You'll be joining a home that needs decisive leadership, a visible management presence and someone who can quickly assess priorities, support the existing team and improve quality, compliance and overall performance.

As Interim Home Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the service, quickly identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical solutions that deliver measurable results.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide stability, strengthen the culture within the home and ensure residents continue to receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care throughout the assignment.

• Quickly assess the operational performance of the home and identify key areas requiring improvement.
• Develop and implement robust action plans to address compliance, quality and performance concerns.
• Provide strong, visible leadership to stabilise the service and support the existing management team.
• Drive improvements in CQC compliance, governance and quality assurance.
• Lead the home through periods of change while maintaining high standards of resident care.
• Support, coach and motivate the team, improving accountability, morale and performance.
• Ensure safeguarding, medication management, risk assessments and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
• Review staffing levels, recruitment needs, agency usage and workforce planning to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor budgets, occupancy and overall home performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, local authorities, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
• Produce clear progress reports and communicate effectively with senior management throughout the assignment.

• Previous experience as an Interim Home Manager or Registered Home Manager with a strong turnaround background.
• Demonstrable experience improving CQC compliance and supporting homes through periods of challenge.
• Confident in implementing improvement plans and delivering sustainable operational change.
• Strong understanding of residential elderly care legislation, governance and best practice.
• Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• A visible, supportive leader who can quickly build credibility with teams.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and improving operational performance.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, even within challenging environments.
