Permanent, Full Time Are you an experienced executive support professional who enjoys leading teams and working within a complex and dynamic organisation? The Greater London Authority is seeking an Executive Support Manager to lead a team of Executive Assistants supporting some of the organisation's most senior leaders, including Executive Directors, Mayoral Appointees and members of the Corporate Management Team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of London's priorities while helping to drive continuous improvement across a high-profile executive support function.
Reporting to the Head of Executive Support, you will provide leadership, guidance and operational oversight to a team of Executive Assistants, ensuring the delivery of a professional, responsive and high-quality service. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the GLA and the Mayor's Office, managing competing priorities, supporting governance processes and helping to ensure the smooth operation of executive business activities.
Alongside your people management responsibilities, you will contribute to the development of the Executive Support function by identifying opportunities to improve processes, implement new ways of working and enhance service delivery. You will also deputise for the Head of Executive Support when required and play an important role in maintaining effective communication and collaboration across a diverse range of stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Experience of leading or supporting teams within a senior executive support environment. A track record of delivering high-level support to senior executives or leadership teams. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail and sound judgement. The ability to influence, solve problems and make informed decisions in a complex environment.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. In return, you will join one of London's most influential organisations, working alongside colleagues who are committed to delivering positive outcomes for the capital. The GLA offers a supportive and inclusive working environment, opportunities for professional development, flexible hybrid working arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package. We welcome applications from candidates with a range of backgrounds and experiences.
If this role aligns with your skills and experience, we would encourage you to apply. Apply now for immediate consideration.
