This is a part time (0.7 FTE), fixed term contract position for five months finishing by 29 April 2027.

The location of this role is either York, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cambridge, Swindon, Bristol or Portsmouth, inclusive with hybrid working.

Salary:

National £39,590 pro-rata

What you will be doing

As a member of the Philanthropy & Income Development department, the Project Manager (Creative Content Exchange) will be responsible for project managing the set up and initial delivery phase of Historic England’s Creative Content Exchange project.

The Creative Content Exchange(CCE) is a UK government-backed initiative that aims to bring together UK-based creative content owners and businesses looking to use the wealth and range of digital assets the UK’s cultural institutions hold in their collections and archives.

The postholder will manage and deliver the project, ensuring alignment across technical, archival, digital, and legal work streams to prepare, produce and upload digital assets to the CCE platform. Working as part of a matrix project delivery team including colleagues from the Philanthropy and Income Development department, Historic England’s Archive services, external partners and a range of colleagues across Historic England.

Who we are looking for

A capable project manager, supported with a recognised PM qualification and experience working on digital/ web-enabled projects.

The successful candidate will bring excellent stakeholder management skills and a high level of digital literacy, along with the ability to think strategically and identify opportunities and interdependencies between projects and other work components.

They will be equipped with excellent communication skills, including the ability to analyse information and present it verbally and in writing, clearly and concisely, along with the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners and manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
