To manage, plan, control and co-ordinate the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 To support the Head of Highways Management in delivering a co-ordinated, planned and effective response to the Highways Authority's duties imposed by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA)
and the Traffic Management Act 2004. (TMA) and to minimise disruption and congestion on the roads in Brent through co-ordination of works.

• Be responsible for managing a team of four NRSWA Inspectors and one technical support officer
• The role will include coordinating and delivering a wide range of challenges, developing new approaches and utilising innovation techniques to archive efficiencies and customer-focus services
• Direct and control all works on the public highway
• Overseeing the submission of permits, TTROs (temporary regulation Orders) and notices via the official Street Manager platform.
• Acting as the primary liaison between utility companies, local highway authority, contractors and the public to resolve conflicts and avoid congestion.
• Managing and minimising financial penalties like Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN), Section 74 (overrun charges) and defect inspections costs.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience of providing a customer focussed service in a public environment.
• Good knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act and Traffic management Act
  Good IT skills.
• Communicates clearly and works well with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
• Has relevant experience in a similar role or a strong willingness to learn
• Is organised, reliable and able to manage priorities effectively.
