We’re looking for a confident and motivated Day Shift Supervisor to join our Pen Y Bont Depot. If you’re a natural leader who enjoys motivating people, solving problems and driving performance, this could be the opportunity for you.

As our Day Shift Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of our busy depot operation, leading a team of up to 50 colleagues and making sure the shift runs safely, efficiently and successfully.

You’ll set clear priorities, support and develop your team and make confident decisions in a fast-moving environment where no two days are quite the same.

We’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, take ownership and bring people together to deliver results. Logistics experience would be a definite advantage, but we’re also open to strong leadership experience gained in other fast-paced environments.

As Day Shift Supervisor, you’ll:

• Lead, motivate and provide direction to a team of up to 50 direct reports
• Coach, develop and train colleagues to help them reach their potential
• Drive performance and ensure Day shift SLAs are achieved
• Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations
• Process BI and MI reports relating to Driver and Loader performance
• Manage changing priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Identify operational challenges and find practical solutions
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and take the lead on projects when required
• Help create a positive, high-performing environment where everyone understands the part they play

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills who is comfortable making decisions and taking ownership in a busy operational environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous management experience leading and motivating a team
• Experience managing teams within a fast-paced logistics environment would be a strong advantage
• The ability to use your own initiative and remain focused under pressure
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good PC skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• An understanding of Transport Regulations would be advantageous
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to lead by example
