Tax Manager (Research & Development Tax Relief)

Belfast Type: [Full-time/Hybrid] We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented R&D Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of clients and ensure smooth, compliant processing of claims from start to finish.  This is a significant role working with a team of technical specialists on niche projects with medium to large sized commercial businesses based across the UK.

What You’ll Do:

Manage Client Portfolio – From inception to review

Streamline Workflows – Ensure timely completion of jobs

Lead & Mentor – Guide your team through the R&D process

Client Engagement – Deliver educational seminars (in-person & Teams)
Improve Processes – Help clients enhance record-keeping

Compliance & Quality – Interview clients, meet R&D criteria, review reports

Handle HMRC Enquiries – Resolve queries with confidence

Train Junior Staff – Share knowledge and best practices

Business Development – Drive growth and client success Skills & Expertise:
Demonstrable experience in R&D tax relief Excellent report writing and communication skills Strong client-facing experience Up-to-date knowledge of legislation & case law Proven ability to manage teams and deadlines
