CNC Machinist

Your New Role This position offers the chance to work in a highly technical, hands-on setting where you'll take ownership of one-off and short-run components from set-up through to final inspection.

You'll operate within a small, fast-moving team that mirrors the mindset of an elite motor sport machine shop - delivering complex parts right first time under demanding lead Responsibilities Full responsibility for tool set-up, 5-axis machining, in-process verification, and final inspection Developing work holding and proving out set-ups. Achieving and maintaining tolerances of =0.05 mm across titanium, aluminium, stainless steel, and nickel alloys Selecting and optimising tooling, feeds, and speeds to balance quality, cycle time, and tool life Measuring and recording dimensions using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, FARO arm, and gauges in line with AS9100 requirements Working closely with AM, programming, and QA teams to ensure right-first-time delivery What you need to succeed: 2-3 years' experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC milling centres Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection Confident working under pressure with minimal supervision Clear communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset Genuine interest in producing complex, high-performance components
