Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with a leading global FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician for their world-renowned production facility in Belfast.

The Role

Working as part of a shift-based production team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding product quality across the full manufacturing process from raw material intake through to final bottling and dispatch. You will ensure all products are manufactured in line with strict quality, safety and regulatory standards, supporting operational excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all products meet defined quality specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Carry out and interpret analytical, chemical and microbiological testing
  • Coordinate and manage sample submissions to external laboratories
  • Complete routine quality checks across materials, processes and finished goods
  • Ensure QA equipment is calibrated, maintained and compliant
  • Support and train production, bottling and warehouse teams on quality procedures
  • Investigate customer and consumer complaints and implement corrective actions
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding raw material quality issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence initiatives
What you will need to succeed:
  • Third‑level qualification in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Previous FMCG or food manufacturing experience would be advantageous
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of documentation accuracy
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and calm under pressure
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, team‑focused approach
  • Proactive, self‑motivated and keen to learn in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexible and comfortable working shift patterns
