Job Description

We are seeking skilled operatives for Airbus Belfast Limited to support the A220 composite wing programme. The role involves checking kit parts up to drawing schedules, manufacturing a range of aerospace hardware to high standards and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

• Location: Belfast
• Type: Full time, Permanent
• Travel Required: Occasional travel within the UK
• Security Clearance: BPSS and Export Control checks. Access NI Check in Northern Ireland.
• Right to Work: Must have unrestricted legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom. No sponsorship provided.

• Check kit parts against drawing schedules.
• Manufacture aerospace hardware to high quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work a range of shifts, including overtime, as required.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
• Participate in ongoing product training and safety procedures.

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship in one of the following disciplines:
  Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Motor Mechanic, Sheet Metal Worker, Carpentry, Coach Builder, Coppersmith, Aircraft Technician, Mechanical & Maintenance Fitter, Panel Beater, Sheet Metal, Pattern Maker, Tool fitter, Car Body Operator, Boiler Maker, Machinist, Pipe Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Plumber, Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Welder, Fabricator.
• OR four years of experience in a skilled role in one of the above disciplines with a Level3 qualification (NVQ, SVQ, IMI, BTEC) in any mechanical engineering discipline.
• Aircraft‑fitting experience is not essential; full training will be provided.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Salary: £32,495.32 – £35,367.80 (incremental increases). Overtime and shift premiums may raise earnings above £40,000 per annum.
• Paid holidays: 260 hours per annum, including public holidays.
