Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime. Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete repairs safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system. Support continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and OEE. Assist with machine setup, commissioning, changeovers, and production support activities. Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Support the development of maintenance procedures, SOPs, and risk assessments. Monitor spare parts usage and help maintain appropriate stock levels. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workshop organisation. Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and planning teams to support operational objectives. Ideal Experience & Skills NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience. Experience maintaining production machinery and equipment. Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS software. Good understanding of health and safety requirements, including risk assessments and COSHH. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Desirable Forklift, IPAF, or PASMA certification.
Experience with in a regulated manufacturing environment. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and equipment reliability practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Salary: £45,860 - £47,860 (Including Shift Allowance)
