We are currently recruiting a pool of Port Operatives to support a number of busy clients in the Duncrue area of Belfast. If you enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are happy to take on a variety of tasks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Port Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly, assisting with the movement of goods, container unloading, site housekeeping, and general labouring duties. Position Details Role:
Port Operative - Adhoc
Work Location:
Duncrue, Belfast Rate: £12.96 per hour Overtime Rate: £15.96 per hour after 6pm and on weekends
Hours:
8am to 5pm Duration:
Temporary Ongoing (Shifts will be confirmed on a Weekly/ Daily Basis) Benefits Free on-site parking Flexible working pattern
Key Responsibilities Assisting with the loading and unloading of containers Moving goods safely around site Carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling duties General housekeeping and cleaning duties Sweeping and maintaining work areas Working efficiently to meet operational deadlines Following all health and safety procedures Undertaking additional labouring duties as required
Essential Criteria Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, or labouring environment Ability to undertake heavy lifting and physical work Flexible approach to work and duties Excellent attendance and timekeeping record Positive attitude and strong work ethic Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks as required Desirable Criteria CSR Card Manual Handling Certificate Important Information Unannounced Drug & Alcohol testing may be carried out in line with site health and safety policies.
