At Linamar Light Metals Belfast, we work in partnership with our customers (FORD, STELLANTIS, JAGUAR LAND ROVER and GESTAMP) to develop and manufacture automotive components, specialising in cylinder heads, electric drive housings and structural components. We now wish to recruit for the following opportunity:

Production Team Manager (PTM/26/1)

Reporting to the relevant Business Unit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a shift team in order to meet safety, quality and production targets within demanding timescales and cost parameters, while ensuring the correct standards of behaviour from the team.

• Have attained a HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering or business disciplineOr 3 years management experience in a similar role in a production environment.
• Have at least2 years experience of working in a continuous production environment in a people management position
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and team skills
• Good organisation and planning skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Able to use initiative and work successfully under pressure
• Analytical ability
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Be proficient with MS Office tools.

While not essential it would be advantageous that applicants have the following:

• Experience from a high-volume production environment.

Our production team managers are contracted for up to 42.5 hours per week depending upon the specific role. We operate across a variety of shift patterns including day shift and continental shift. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss shift patterns in further detail at interview.
