6-month rolling contract Extension:
Strong likelihood of extension Rate: £30.00 per hour £8 per hour travel allowance (TA is only paid for candidates who live 39 miles or more from site!) UMBRELLA RATES available What will you be doing? As a Plating Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of the operation, leading teams and making sure the work gets done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your day-to-day will include:
Leading and supporting plating teams on the shop floor Planning daily activities and allocating work and resources Keeping production moving and monitoring progress against targets Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings and promoting safe working Maintaining quality standards and dealing with defects or rework Reporting progress, risks and issues to management Supporting team performance, attendance, onboarding and development Creating a positive, respectful and productive working environment What are we looking for?
You'll ideally have:
An apprenticeship, advanced qualification or equivalent experience in fabrication or a related technical discipline Previous supervisory experience Strong experience as a Plater within heavy engineering or fabrication Excellent people-management and communication skills The confidence to lead, coordinate and motivate a team
