Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support continued success, new product development, increased production capacity and business expansion. The successful candidate will help develop and improve manufacturing systems, procedures and equipment while working alongside engineering, production, quality and supply chain teams in a dynamic heavy manufacturing environment. Based in Derry/Londonderry, this is a permanent, site based position.

The role offers hands on involvement across the manufacturing operation, with the opportunity to contribute directly to safe, efficient and high quality production processes while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business. The Role:

* Develop and improve manufacturing systems, procedures and equipment
* Plan and implement efficient and cost effective production methods
* Coordinate with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues
* Implement standard work and Lean Manufacturing principles, including line balancing, 5S and Poka Yoke
* Create and maintain build and drawing packs
* Provide production support and apply structured problem solving

The Person :
* HNC or HND in Engineering, or extensive relevant practical experience
* Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
* Strong organisational, multitasking and attention to detail skills
* A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
* Experience in heavy manufacturing, machine shop or fabrication environments would be advantageous
* Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems, 3D modelling software and Microsoft packages would be advantageous The Rewards:
