We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Junior/Trainee CAD Technician with a passion for 2D and 3D engineering design to join our team in Bromsgrove. At Excool, you’ll be involved in designing and manufacturing innovative air conditioning equipment for the UK and global markets. Previous experience in CAD design is preferable but not a limiting factor, if you are designing 2D and 3D engineering at home, please do apply.
What you’ll be doing- Produce highly Detailed Drawings for manufacture, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings utilising AutoCAD Software (2D & 3D) for our Products – from AHU’s to ASHP’s, Heat Pumps, Packaged Plant rooms and other associated Mechanical Systems.
- Make design amendments following Client, Engineering & Manufacturing feedback.
- Understanding of Mechanical principles, Manufactures processes, materials and measurement scales.
- Ensuring drawings and designs comply to company standards.
- Support the development and improvement of existing Products.
- Assist the development and engineering of new Products.
- High attention to Detail.
- Maintain accurate design revisions and document control.
- High Communication skills, clear and understandable.
- Collaborative with Departments. Liaising from the Sales Team to Production, Contracts and Procurement.
- A fast-paced fluid working environment, working on multiple projects at a time under time constraints and pressures.
- Office based role here at our Manufacturing HQ in Bromsgrove.
- Highly motivated individual with self-discipline to work alongside and with our highly experienced existing team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.

- Experience in this role/a similar role is preferred but not essential, full comprehensive training will be given from our team. Experience in a Mechanical Design Role using AutoCAD software would be ideal.
