Full-time Job Type: Permanent Our client is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitter with a background in fitting hydraulic systems to vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of hydraulic components and systems to join a busy manufacturing environment, working as part of a team to assemble, test and improve a range of ground support equipment.

The Role Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling and building ground support equipment using mechanical and hydraulic disciplines. You will also be involved in testing hydraulic systems, fault finding and supporting the product development and design teams with continuous improvement activities. Duties will include:
Assembling and building a range of ground support equipment using mechanical and hydraulic skills Installing and fitting hydraulic systems and components to vehicles Rigorously testing completed products, including setting and testing hydraulic flows and pressures Working to established production targets and schedules Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Identifying, diagnosing and resolving hydraulic and mechanical faults Working closely with the product development and design team to implement improvements Supporting continuous improvement activities across the production process Safely moving production parts and materials as required Working effectively as part of a wider production team Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail Following all company Health & Safety procedures, site rules and policies Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by management to meet business needs

Essential Criteria Previous experience working as a Hydraulic Fitter, preferably with experience fitting hydraulic systems to vehicles Sound knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems Knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps and motors Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Proven literacy and numeracy skills Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate problems and issues effectively to team members Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptable and able to respond positively to changes in jobs, machinery and processes Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety Additional Information The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a busy production team, contributing to the assembly, testing and continuous improvement of the company's ground support equipment.
