The Opportunity

As Funds-Axis continues to expand globally, we are strengthening our Brand and Pipeline Development function. We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Assistant to support our company brand, contribute to our ESG and community engagement, and help grow the personal brand of our CEO.

This is an exciting role for someone early in their marketing career who brings energy, creativity, organisation, and strong communication skills. You will gain hands‑on experience across marketing, events, social media, brand development, and executive coordination, with opportunities to represent Funds‑Axis at industry events and community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities 1. Brand & Marketing Support

You will help elevate the Funds‑Axis brand across digital, social, cultural, and community channels.

Brand & ESG Activities
  • Lead day‑to‑day ESG and community content, including seasonal messages (e.g., Christmas, Thanksgiving).
  • Create and publish social media content around company culture, office activities and local engagement.
  • Support and showcase our involvement with:
    • Work Plus
    • Action Cancer
    • Software NI
    • Belfast Chamber
    • University partnerships
    • Fintech meetups
    • Catalyst community events
Content Creation
  • Capture and develop staff interviews, videos, photos and short‑form social media content.
  • Support social media posting and scheduling across corporate channels.
Event Attendance & Representation
  • Attend NI‑based community, charity, and tech events on behalf of Funds‑Axis.
  • Represent Funds‑Axis at university careers fairs and local partnerships.
  • Attend industry events and Reg Tech conferences where Funds‑Axis is sponsoring or exhibiting.
2. CEO Brand Support

A key part of this role involves supporting Darren Burrows, our CEO, with his professional brand presence.

Linked In & Personal Brand
  • Manage Darren’s Linked In activity, including posting, resharing, and light engagement.
  • Support development of content across themes such as:
    • Northern Ireland tech
    • Reg Tech
    • Apprenticeships
    • Investment management
  • Coordinate with internal and external content creators to produce high‑quality posts.
Executive Coordination
  • Act as a diary coordinator for Darren, arranging meetings, managing follow‑ups and ensuring timely communication.
  • Assist with basic correspondence and stakeholder engagement.
3. Office Presence
  • This role requires being in the Belfast office at least three days per week.
  • You will collaborate closely with the CEO and senior management, contributing to a positive and energetic office environment.

Essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using social media, especially Linked In.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Comfortable engaging with staff, students, event partners and external organisations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organised.
Desirable
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or social media (professional or academic).
  • Basic experience with Canva, video editing, or content creation tools.
  • Interest in tech, fintech, or the NI innovation ecosystem.
