Full Time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking a creative and passionate Communications Officer to play a key role in delivering impactful communications, marketing, and fundraising activity. This is an exciting opportunity to help tell the stories of beneficiaries, engage supporters, and raise awareness of the organisation's work through compelling digital and traditional communications. Working across fundraising, communications, and stakeholder engagement, this Communications Officer will create high-quality content, manage digital channels, support media activity, and ensure consistency of brand messaging across all platforms.
Communications Officer
- Key Responsibilities Create engaging written, visual, and video content for digital and print channels Produce articles, case studies, newsletters, campaign materials, and social media content Meet and interview beneficiaries to develop sensitive and impactful stories showcasing the organisation's impact Plan, schedule, deliver, and evaluate communications and fundraising campaigns Manage and develop the organisation's website and wider online presence Produce email campaigns, newsletters, and marketing collateral for internal and external audiences Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all communications Create in-house design materials and brief external agencies where required Act as the first point of contact for media and PR enquiries and coordinate press activity Write engaging press releases and support positive media coverage Manage internal communication channels, including the SharePoint staff intranet Support events, visits, and promotional activities Maintain communication databases, CRM records, merchandise, and marketing materials Build relationships with partner organisations and sector networks to share best practice About You Experience in communications, marketing, digital content, or public relations Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills Strong social media and digital marketing experience Experience creating multimedia content, including video and graphic design Confidence interviewing individuals and developing compelling case studies Knowledge of website content management systems and email marketing platforms Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Experience using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and CRM systems A keen eye for detail and brand consistency What You'll Bring Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging audiences A proactive and collaborative approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills A passion for making a positive impact through effective storytelling and digital engagement This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys creating engaging content, building meaningful connections with stakeholders, and helping an organisation maximise its reach and impact.
