Overview

Are you an experienced community engagement professional with a passion for inclusion, culture and identity?

We are delighted to be partnering with the Office of Inclusion and Cultural Expression (OICE) to recruit an Outreach and Engagement Officer, offering the opportunity to play a key role in strengthening community relationships, delivering high-profile events and advancing OICE's mission and impact.

The role
  • Engage proactively with diverse communities, acting as a key point of contact and representative
  • Build strong relationships to promote organisational objectives and visibility
  • Lead planning and delivery of executive-led events, managing logistics and follow-up
  • Identify and secure resources required for inclusive and accessible events
  • Support the development and implementation of a community-focused small grants scheme
  • Gather and analyse stakeholder feedback to inform corporate planning
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and foster effective community partnerships
The person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential
  • Proven experience in community engagement and event planning
  • Strong understanding of local community dynamics and representation
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable commitment to culture and identity principles
