We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising, events, sales, marketing, customer service, and community engagement.

* 37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly in accordance with the needs of the service which may include weekends, bank holidays and evenings to support events
** Purpose of the role:
** To support the Fundraising Department in maximising income and delivering a high-quality community and events fundraising programme. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with community groups, organisations and individuals who wish to support the charity through community fundraising initiatives and mass participation events. Working with our Hampshire based team, the role will support the implementation of our Fundraising Strategy with a focus on growing the range of activities and expanding our reach across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire.

Responsibilities include supporting and developing existing fundraising income streams, identifying and implementing new fundraising opportunities, and leading the research, planning and delivery of a diverse events portfolio. The postholder will oversee the end-to-end management of fundraising events, ensuring they are engaging, well-executed and contribute to sustainable income growth, while also providing support for community-led fundraising activities and helping to deliver excellent supporter experiences.

Qualifications:

** High standard of general education to A-Level / level 3 or equivalent experience

Relevant accredited fundraising, event management or marketing qualification (or willingness to work towards within agreed time period)
** Essential:
** Clean Driving Licence and Use of a Vehicle with insurance for work related activities1 year of experience working within a fundraising office
** Key Tasks
** Working under the direction of the Community Lead the role will support the delivery and future development of the community and events fundraising programme. Key tasks include:
1. Develop and manage relationships with community supporters

Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals, community groups, schools, clubs, faith groups and local organisations to encourage ongoing fundraising support.
2. Support community fundraising activities

Provide advice, resources and guidance to supporters organising their own fundraising events, ensuring they have an excellent experience and maximise income generation, alongside promoting the work of Mountbatten and how donations will support the delivery of services for the benefit of local people.
3. Plan and deliver fundraising events

Lead the research, planning, organisation and delivery of a portfolio of Mountbatten led fundraising events, alongside community led events, ensuring they are engaging, safe, well-managed and financially successful.
4. Recruit and steward event participants

Promote participation in challenge events and fundraising events, providing tailored stewardship and motivation throughout the supporter journey.
5. Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities

Research emerging trends, opportunities and partnerships to introduce innovative fundraising initiatives that contribute to sustainable income growth.
6. Manage event budgets and financial reporting

Prepare and monitor event budgets, track income and expenditure, and produce accurate financial reports to ensure fundraising activities achieve agreed targets.
7. Coordinate event logistics for Mountbatten led events

Oversee venue bookings, supplier management, risk assessments, volunteer deployment and event-day operations to ensure successful event delivery.
