As the Client Engagement and Volunteer Officer, you will support the Client Engagement and Volunteer Manager in delivering effective support and engagement for clients and volunteers across the whole organisation. Working closely with the Manager, you will help co-ordinate day-to-day volunteer activity, support positive client and volunteer experiences, and contribute to the delivery of the Client Engagement and Volunteer Strategies in line with organisational objectives.

The role will assist with volunteer recruitment, induction, support, training, reward and recognition, ensuring volunteers are valued, well supported and able to contribute meaningfully. You will also help monitor the impact of client engagement and volunteering and support continuous improvement, underpinned by the Investing in Volunteers (IIV) and client engagement quality standards. You will actively represent the values of passion, respect, empathy and openness and transparency, setting, and reinforcing the standard for positive behaviours at all levels.

The Mind Wise Competency Framework outlines the behaviours that are essential to effective performance. The Competencies relevant to these roles are set out for everyone and in Level 2 of the Framework for this post What we ask for from you: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualification. Must be able to demonstrate at least one years experience of supporting or co-ordinating volunteers, including recruitment, induction, training, support, reward and recognition.

Must be able to demonstrate experience of engaging with clients, service users, volunteers, staff, partners or external stakeholders to support positive participation and engagement. Must be able to demonstrate experience of working with voluntary, community, health and social care, or public sector partners.

Experience of monitoring, reporting or evidencing impact against key performance indicators or quality standards. Ability to work flexibly and travel throughout Northern Ireland as required. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
