We are excited to invite enthusiastic and proactive Nursing Associates to join our Critical Care team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Department of Critical Care (DCC) spans two hospital sites:
Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals. The role requires working across both locations. We are proud to announce that DCC recently received a Gold rating during an Accredited Clinical Environments (ACE) inspection.

The Critical Care Nursing Associate will be responsible for monitoring and contributing to the care of critically ill patients under the indirect supervision of registered nurses. With training and support, you will provide both general and specialised direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. You will play a vital role in monitoring and managing patients with life‑threatening conditions.

Your main duties will include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients admitted to critical care and offering support to their loved ones, ensuring safe and effective practice
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to provide continuous care to a specific group of patients from admission to discharge
• Supervising and mentoring other staff members and learners as appropriate
• Maintaining and developing your personal skills with ongoing support

Working internally across site, including days, nights and weekends
