At Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation, you'll be part of a family-centered pediatric inpatient rehabilitation program dedicated to helping patients regain strength, independence and confidence throughout their recovery. The team provides specialized care to patients from infancy through age 21 who require hospitalization or acute rehabilitation, caring for a wide range of complex conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy surgery recovery, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic rehabilitation needs, spinal fusions and traction, complex injuries, neurologic disorders requiring rehabilitation and burns.
In this role, you'll work closely with pediatric patients and their families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, high-quality care throughout the patient journey. You'll interact directly with patients, families and visitors, helping create a supportive experience while providing education, encouragement and clinical support along the way. This PRN position offers flexibility with4-hour, 8-hour, or 12-hour shifts, available on bothdays and nights.
Some
weekend hours are expected

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing(Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience
