On behalf of Belfast City Council, we are recruiting for X5 Zoo Crew Members to be based at Belfast Zoo.

Hours: 24 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays, between 8am–6pm)

Rate of Pay: £13.47

Duration: Minimum 8 weeks with possible extension

This role is temporary for a minimum of 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension.

• Welcome visitors, issue tickets and maps, and provide information and signposting.
• Operate tills, manage cash floats and complete end-of-day cash reconciliation.
• Act as a tour guide and conduct tours across the Zoo site.
• Drive Zoo vehicles to transport visitors and carry out operational duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site including litter picking, waste removal and toilet cleaning.
• Undertake general labouring duties including heavy lifting and moving equipment.
• Comply with all council policies including health & safety and safeguarding.

Please note:

This role involves outdoor working, walking up and down steep hills, heavy lifting and driving duties.

• Must have full, UK driving licence.

• Cash handling and dealing with customer enquiries.
• Carrying out general and specific cleaning duties, including public and staff toilets.
